It is an amazing experience to be a primary school teacher librarian in these everchanging and revolutionary times - "Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore!"
My passion is getting my students to use Web 2.0 tools to enhance their learning and I enjoy spending time exploring the internet for ideas. The problem is, there are sooooo many tools and so little time!
What I would love to do is start a blog where I can list how I have used these tools with my students in the library and it would be great if others also used this space to share their ideas and experiences. It could evolve into a useful resource for educators.
Yesterday I attended a Web 2.0 seminar, on how to apply these tools in my workplace. Amongst the highlights were inspirational keynote speakers - Gwyneth Jones 'the Daring Librarian' (why weren't my teachers ever this funny), and the amazing Joyce 'guru' Valenza . I was left feeling totally inspired, but also very overwhelmed.
So I've decided to take Gwyneth's advice and unleash my inner Lady Gaga one Web2.0 tool at a time, beginning with creating a blog. Hope you like my first attempt.
